Andy Lee – Blue Iceland

Auf dem Blog von MC Winkel bin ich über diese doch sehr beeindruckenden Fotos aus Island von Andy Lee gestolpert. Der aus Cwmbran/Wales kommende Fotograf machte sich bei seiner Fotoserie „Blue Iceland“ eine spezielle Technik zu nutze, welche es ihm erlaubte die stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre und das dramatische Licht in Gänze einzufangen. Er fotografiert mit einer speziellen Infrarotlicht-Linse, welche durch spezielle Filter das sichtbare Licht bei den Aufnahmen unterdrückt. Aber nun genug der Worte, macht euch selbst ein Bild von „Blue Iceland“.

“Infrared and Iceland, a match made in heaven. My first visit to this wonderful country and it wont be my last. Using a converted DSLR with a 720nm conversion I enjoyed waiting for those moments that if your lucky may come a handful of times in a year. In Iceland you may just have to wait minutes.”
